- Annie's Song I love and I also like I Calypso / Granma's feather bed...
- Annie's Song without a doubt. It's one of top five favourite songs. Years ago when he was very popular I wrote to him at his record company asking for his autograph. About a year later I got a large signed photo all the way from Colorado. It's one of my treasures.
- I have so very many. One that you may not have heard? In his "I Want To Live" album (`77). He has a Track, called, "It Amazes Me". In the Song, he writes, "Our Father watches over us.Our Mother will provide". Simply blew me away. His tribute to The Astronauts of The Challenger, was so touching. His vocals were never really given it's due. Good Question. And Good Morning! I could talk about his Lyrics, all day long!
- Yes, too many to list...my cousin and I were best friends (His mom was my mom's sister); we both lived here in the Denver area (Colorado, USA)...Jim was into the mountains in a big way, climbing frozen waterfalls, camping/hunting...anyway, he found John Denver before me, when his sister brought home the Rocky Mountain High album. He had called me one afternoon, in 1972, and I could hear music in the background that I had never heard before. "Who's that singing?" I asked. "Oh, it's some fairy that my sister bought today...long blonde hair and weird round glasses!" We hung up after a couple more minutes, then about a half hour later Jim called me back: "Forget what I said! that 'fairy' crap! This guy is fantastic! You have to buy this album! Go buy it right now!" So I did. Then I bought every one John Denver came out with. His music helped me form my identity, brought out my personality, and most important, got me back into writing. As you know, his music and his spirit, always seemed to be speaking just to you, or just to me...whomever was listening. My favorites would have to be his original version of Rocky Mountain High, and the original Annie's Song...I always find it interesting that as he got older, his voice improved, became deeper, richer. Thank you for the opportunity. Peace.
- Back Home Again. oh...and Matthew, and Grandma's Feather Bed oh.....and Thank God I'm a Country Boy :)
- "I'm sorry", "Thank God I'm a country boy", Sunshine on my shoulders are my faves!
