Denver John

Is there a recording of the hymn John Denver sang in the movie "Foxfire"? It had lyrics "Dear Lord..."

I think the ending credits said Susan Cooper wrote the song, titled"Dear Lord" but I've tried for many YEARS to find it and there's nothing. It's just the most beautiful hymn I've ever heard--especially since it's him singing it--but I can't even find evidence that there was ever a soundtrack for the movie, much less a recording (or even just lyrics) for this song. Please, anybody?
