I'm looking for the title of a sappy romance film from the 1970's about a groovy mountain couple-the wife dies?

For some reason I think the film used John Denver music, but I might be mistaken because I think it took place in Colorado. It was very sappy and "Love Story-ish" with a more hippie couple. Any ideas?
