Cotton Eyed Joe by John Denver? So I've had this song playing over and over in my head and it is the lyrics of Cotton Eyed Joe, and I could have sworn that John Denver sang a version of it. However with endless Googling I have been unable to track it down. I'm being lead to the conclusion that it does not exist, or that it is by a different artist.

Maybe JOHN DENVER, had it right, all along? In his Lyrics, "A Song For All Lovers". I see the very center of what a lasting Relationship should be like. See if you agree. He wrote: "Imagine the morning; No longer alone. The arms of another; A Place to belong. No Longer the struggle; No longer the night. And ever becoming, in the quickening light. To see in the darkness; To listen within. To answer in kindness; To ever begin. To ever be gentle; To always be strong. To walk in the Wonder; To live in the Song". This old John Denver song (For the musically inclined or have some background in music)? Please help. I was wondering about this old song he did in D major and I can't remember the lyrics to save my life, nor do I know the actual title. I just know I loved this song. The only line I think I do remember from this song is at the end of one of the verses: "...lonely again..." It's in D major, and the chord arrangements are as follows: |G|A|B|G| |D|C#|B|A| |G|F#|E| (lower octave)|G| |A| |G|A|B|G| |D|C#|B|A| |G|F#|E|A| |D-D sus4| Play it on an instrument, (like a keyboard or piano or guitar), if that helps. :P Thanks. Thanks. Conoco, keep me posted. XD Thanks for the link, fugget. Cool site! Right now I got no mike. My dad has it currently. Gotta borrow it back...XD

What is the song that was played on Real World Denver Episode 6 when Jen fell in the bar? On Real World Denver, after Jen faught with Tyrie, Jen is in a bar dancing and drinking and she fell on the dance floor. I googled some of the lyrics I caught and John Lennon keeps popping up, but the song seems more current and harder. Canadian Folk Song with the lyrics "Take me home"? I heard the song in a club in Ottawa, Canada. I asked somebody about the song and was told its a Canadian folk song. The only lyrics I can remember is "Take me home". Its a upbeat song that everyone was dancing to. It seemed like everyone in the club knew the song. I know its not the John Denver song.
Letterman plays song when card flies threw window? On the Late Show with David Letterman there is a song they play as a joke whenever he throws a cue card threw the "window" Background set. I think It is a John Denver song. The Lyrics include "flyin, flyin high" I'm aware that is changes/running gag. I've been loving this show since I was 10! I've always loved Dave's type of humor: Will if float? Do you know your cuts of meat? Mujibar and Sarajul, etc. Oh yeah. Old Turkey Buzzard by Jose Feliciano is the correct answer. I have to wait 4 hours though :(

Who was the famous singer for? who was the famous singer for the lyric Im a pepper, your a pepper, would you like to be a pepper too? was it Brian Wilson Bob Dylan, Barry Manilow,John Denver?
Can anyone remember a song from the 1986 Disney movie The Leftovers? You have to have seen this movie to know this since I don't remember any lyrics. From what I remember, the song played at the opening scene where the older orphan girl Jesse (Pamela Adlon) was riding her bike down the street delivering newspapers. It's an "80s" song that I've only heard on the radio once in the past 10 years. It's not something that I've ever found on any 80s compliation and I'm starting to think it never even made the Top 100. The movie was made for TV/Disney Channel. John Denver played the head of some sort of orphanage. It also starred Cindy Williams, Andrea Barber (Kimmy Gibbler from Full House) and Jaleel White.
70s song bitter man or better man? I am looking for a song, but I am not sure what it is. Sorry not many details to give. Sounds like a 70s slower song. A man sings it. Lyrics are something like "You're a bitter man" or "You're a better man" or "Just a bitter man". It is not the Yardbirds' song. It is more Bread or John Denver-like. Thanks!! No, not Pearl Jam. I would know that.
Take me home by?? I heard a song on CMT Pure a few minutes ago and really liked it, but I didn't catch the singer's name. It's a song with the lyrics "Take me home, home, home home." It's not John Denver. It's a young male, blonde hair with a very rough voice. His voice doesn't match his age and that's why I liked it. Also, in the song, he sings about him, his daddy and some boy named ____ (I forgot lol). The song has a bluesy feel. Part of the video takes place on a bus and the rest is on a porch. Thanks!
What do you think? What kind of instrument do you think would best suit me? I cannot read music, but I have a very good ear and learn quickly. The last instrument I played, aside from goofing around at a piano and playing with an old guitar, was the recorder in 4th grade. I do not want to play the guitar because I think that is very much overdone, and I do not want to play the drums because I think percussion usually detracts from the music. I really do not want to play the piano. I cannot sing or dance, but I can write lyrics, and I am moderately good at composing tunes. My favourite artists include Harry Chapin, Gordon Lightfoot, Simon & Garfunkel, Patsy Cline, John Denver, and John Tzinieris. I like all music as long as it isn't poppy or hate-filled. I'm looking for something unique, but not so unique that it's overdone. I don't want to be the next big star, just be able to do something fun for myself and my friends, and maybe, maybe a band at some point in the future. I was thinking of playing the fiddle or violin, but I don't know.
The Perfect Song for my video? Hi.. as some of you may know from my previous posts, For a class project (summer class on video production) I am making a tribute video honoring many many singers who have died too soon. People like Karen Carpenter, John Lennon, Buddy Holly,Richie Valens, Hank Williams, some members of Lynard Skynard who died in a plane crash, Janis Joplin, Elvis.. etc etc.. (Had a list of 67, narrowed it down to 45 of the best) Anyway.. what song would be a perfect background to the images and stories of these great artists? Here are some I've been toying with Karen Carpenter- "A song for you" ("when my life is over, remember when we were together.. we were alone and I was singing this song for you") John Denver - "The wings of a dream" ("Why is it thus we are here and so soon we are gone") Don McClean- "The Day the Music died" (Tells the story of Buddy Holly's plane crash and the next 10 years of music history. GREAT song, keeps repeating lyrics "The day the music died" BUt possibly overused? I'm looking for the perfect song so any suggestions will be welcome. A Youtube link where I can hear the whole song would be excellent as well. It would be awesome if the song was done by one of the artists that died young, but that is not a requirement (if it's the perfect song). I was thinking of titling the video "Unfinished song" or something with the idea of a song being too short. Oh.. one more I was toying with Karen Carpenter "at the end of a song" ("At the end of a song, there's no one.. after the last note is played.. only the memory stays and even that fades away..") I LOVE KC's voice, but I'm not SURE that her style of music is what I want for the background.
