This old John Denver song (For the musically inclined or have some background in music)? Please help. I was wondering about this old song he did in D major and I can't remember the lyrics to save my life, nor do I know the actual title. I just know I loved this song. The only line I think I do remember from this song is at the end of one of the verses: "...lonely again..." It's in D major, and the chord arrangements are as follows: |G|A|B|G| |D|C#|B|A| |G|F#|E| (lower octave)|G| |A| |G|A|B|G| |D|C#|B|A| |G|F#|E|A| |D-D sus4| Play it on an instrument, (like a keyboard or piano or guitar), if that helps. :P Thanks. Thanks. Conoco, keep me posted. XD Thanks for the link, fugget. Cool site! Right now I got no mike. My dad has it currently. Gotta borrow it back...XD

Do you have a "soundtrack" to your life? What is it? and would you like this music played at your funeral? I have certain music that no matter what, is my foundation. Its probably because its related to all my memories, but I also think its just great music. So do you think that if you grew up with bad memories, the soundtrack would have negative effects on you? Its usually what your parents listened to, and even though you find your own musical taste, that music is always special. I have John Denver, Glen Campbell, Charley Pride, Frank Sinatra, Neil Young, Emmylou Harris. Its comfort music, and I wonder what my life would have been if I heard different music. So how did the music you heard growing up affect your life? Whats your soundtrack?

Do Airports Play Music by Artists Killed in Plane Crashes? I heard that airports don't play any music by artists that have died in plane crashes (i.e. Aaliyah, John Denver, etc.) and I have yet to hear any such music on my many, many visits to airports in several different states. Is this true? Is it a regulation set by the government or just a really good idea? Thanks for your time and attention.
Any John Denver fans out there? What are your favorite John Denver songs? Most cherished memories of him? Did anyone attend the now-famous Red Rocks concert he did back in the late 1970s? Besides the Wildlife Concert, has anyone ever find any good videos of his music? Any concert footage? Are any of his ecological organizations (Windstar, etc.) still functioning?
Who else loves John Denver? I think he was wonderful and I love his music. I'd really like to get in touch with other JD fans.....he's my absolute favorite singer! I am a member of many John Denver sites and I am always ready to read more (truthful) things about him! Once again, I'd love to get to know some like-minded people and make some good friends! :D I think he was wonderful and I love his music. I'd really like to get in touch with other JD fans.....he's my absolute favorite singer! I am a member of many John Denver sites and I am always ready to read more (truthful) things about him! Once again, I'd love to get to know some like-minded people and make some good friends! :D EDIT: No, he didn't die in a boat, KU Fan....he died in a plane and it was not suicidal, Hunter One. :D It was an experimental aircraft and he hadn't had much time to become familiar with it. :( It ran out of gas and when he was trying to change the gas, he knocked something with sent the plane out of control....and into Monterey Bay. :( It's frustrating....cause he wouldn't have even died if he had just taken more time to understand how the plane worked and make sure it was fueled up. :( Yes, he was a good pilot, too, in an aircraft that he knew how to use. Come on....! Where are all of you hiding at? ;)
Do you miss John Denver? Sitting at home on a Sunday morning I was once again filled with admiration for this simple man who loved nature and who put down words and music for us all to feast on and to share in his wonder. I never got to see John Denver play live, but I felt very close to him. I recall sitting in a bar in Denver when the crowd all joined the jukebox in singing "Rocky Mountain High." Everyone sang enthusiastically and if you didn't know the words you would be shunned (to say the least). It was better to look enthralled and join in any way you could. Loving Colorado, the Rockies and John Denver was like a religion to most folks there. He always seemed to be on the right side of things and reminded us all to be thankful for sunshine on our shoulder, the Calypso, and being a country boy. No translation needed as he warmed our hearts forever. No, this is not a joke or a riddle. It was an error being put here and I can't correct that. So if you're still trying to figure out the punchline you can relax now.
What is the best country song about the passage of time? Celebrating a 50th wedding anniversary, and want to do a song about the passage of time, life, kids, work, fun, etc. to go with a photo montage. Looking for something sentimental, but also positive (they are still together, and have a great life). They like country music, starting with Willie Nelson, John Denver, and Kenny Rogers, Dolly Parton, right through to Garth Brooks. Any suggestions would be helpful.
What is the really good, new music out there? I'll be blunt. I haven't found a lot of good music for the last five years, and I've stopped looking. I really love the old stuff: Karen Carpenter, John Denver, Elton John, Dionne Warwick, and even some harder rock like RUSH (my favorite band). In college, I loved groups like Ultravox, Siouxi and the Banshees, Grace Slick, Split Enz, etc. My musical taste leans toward the soulful, romantic side. I love hearing Grace Slick belt out tunes with Jefferson Starship, but I love ballads. What the heck is out there now? Who are the great performers?
Given the bands i listed, whats my music style? i really like jim croche, james taylor, cat stevens, rod stewart, jackson browne, simon and garfunkel, john denver, van morrison, johnathon edwards, america, bread.... and so on what do you think??
free piano sheet music? I am trying to find piano sheet music for the song "Take Me Home, Country Roads", by John Denver. I want to get the full version with out having to pay for it. If any body knows a website where I can download it for free please post it, or you you have it please let me know and e-mail it to me. 10 POINTS FOR THE BEST ANSWER!
Music suggestions for me? I am a big fan of music. I also like a fairly wide variety. Though, I'm not really into the newer mainstream stuff. I despise rap (no offense meant) and the rock which is labeled "emo" (again, no offense meant). Here is a list of the musicians on my iTunes library. However, this list doesn't even compare to the bands/artists in my CD collection. But, if there is a band or artist that you think I may not have and think I would like, please say so! Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks! Any (obscure) music suggestions? I'm up for suggestions! I made a list of the music that is on my computer so you can get an idea of what I listen to. As you can tell, my music taste varies. However, I despise most of the popular bands (okay, ALL) bands of today. Also, keep in mind that I have many more artists on CD that isn't on my computer so they are not listed....so, try to be as obscure as possible. Some of my favorite Christmas music that comes to mind: Nat King Cole, Bng Crosby, Andrews Sisters, Perry Como, Louis Armstrong, Cab Calloway, Leon Redbone, Garth Brooks, Eartha Kitt, Ella Fitzgerald, John Denver, The Muppets, Stevie Wonder, Randy Travis, Alan Jackson, Jimmy Buffett, Anne Murray, The Drifters, and that Phl Spector CD with the Ronettes, Crystals, Darlene Love and the Blue Jeans. I need help finding music I like? I'm not totally sure what kind I DO like, though, so it's always a pain asking for help. D: Bands I love include The Smiths, and I have a bit of a thing for Elton John, Abba, The Beatles, and John Denver, among others. I tend to like upbeat songs, though... I don't really know a whole lot of music. Some of my favorite songs include Genesis - Invisible Touch, Soft Cell - Tainted Love, and Dead or Alive - You Spin Me Round, along with bunches of stuff from my favorite artists. B-but I don't know where to start! Is there a list of genres out there? I don't know what I'm into and if anyone has any recommendations or anything I'd -love- it. I just fail at doing this myself. Help please? :D And I mean like individual recommendations. The first answer didn't help at all. ._. I know HOW to find music, but I don't know what I WANT. :D
Which pop songs should you play at the wedding? For my wedding music, I intend to have a mixture of classical instrumental pieces and pop music. Could you recommend some pop songs that are suitable for a wedding? John Denver's Perhaps Love is one that I think about.
